About this tool
PNG to PDF places each image on a separate page. Use it for screenshots, illustrations, and images with transparent backgrounds.
How to use it
- Choose one or more PNG images.
- Review the thumbnails and arrange the images.
- Choose paper size, orientation, margins, and image fit.
- Generate and download the PDF, then check transparent areas and the page background.
Features
- Creates one page per image. Drag images to reorder them, or use Move up, Move down, and Remove.
- Defaults to A4, automatic orientation, Fit entire image, and 20 pt margins. You can also choose Letter, a custom size, or Fit image.
- Fit entire image preserves the full picture. Fill page crops the edges as needed. Both keep the original proportions without stretching.
- Fit image uses 1 px = 1 pt and adds the selected margins. It does not use image DPI to determine print size. For a fixed print size, choose A4, Letter, or Custom.
Transparent areas and page backgrounds
- The PNG alpha channel is preserved in the PDF image. Most readers display transparent areas over a white page background.
- Fit entire image keeps the full picture. Fill page may crop edges, so choose the option that suits your needs.
Limits
- Creating a multipage file takes time and memory. Choose an image count or text length that suits your device.
- Use JPG/JPEG, PNG, or still WebP. Format-specific converters accept only the matching image type.
Privacy
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Images, text, and generated results are also processed only in your current browser. Your input is not saved automatically. Download any results you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original files.
FAQ
Will transparent PNGs turn black?
They are not filled with black by default. Transparent areas are preserved and usually show the PDF reader's white page background.
Will images be stretched?
No. Both Fit entire image and Fill page preserve proportions. Fill page may crop parts that extend beyond the available area.
Can I convert multiple screenshots?
Yes. Each PNG becomes one page in list order.
What if I also want to include JPG files?
Use Images to PDF to combine JPG, PNG, and still WebP images.
