PDF Page Tools

Split PDF

Split one PDF into separate pages or groups of pages.

Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.

About this tool

Split PDF creates separate PDFs from one document. Split every page into its own file, or keep several pages together by entering ranges.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Choose one file per page, or enter one range per line, such as 1-3, 4-7, and 8-10 on separate lines.
  3. Check the groups and start generating the files.
  4. Download individual PDFs or a ZIP containing the results.

Features

  • One file per page: a 10-page PDF produces 10 single-page PDFs.
  • By range: each line produces one file and can contain individual pages, ranges, and comma-separated combinations.
  • Creates up to 200 files at a time to limit browser memory use.
  • The original file is kept, and all results are generated in your current browser.

Page range format

  • Pages start at 1. Enter 1, 1,3,5, 1-5, or 1-3,7,10-12. Use all for every page, odd for odd-numbered pages, and even for even-numbered pages.
  • Zero, out-of-bounds pages, reversed ranges such as 5-2, letters, and empty entries such as 1,,3 are invalid. Both endpoints of a range are included.
  • Extracting, deleting, and rotating ignore duplicate page numbers. Duplicating keeps repeated page numbers and builds the copied block in the order entered.

Splitting versus extracting

  • Split PDF creates multiple files. To combine pages such as 1-3,5,8 into one new PDF, use Extract PDF Pages.
  • Ranges can overlap, allowing an original page to appear in more than one output file.

Limits

  • Files over 50 MiB display a memory notice. Each PDF can be up to 200 MiB. Complex content also uses memory, so choose files that suit your device.
  • Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not supported. Use an unencrypted copy you are authorized to access. Damaged or unsupported files may not open.
  • Editing a digitally signed PDF may invalidate its signature. Keep the original file.
  • Bookmarks, interactive forms, annotations, and other complex features may not be fully preserved. Open the download and check its pages and important content.

Privacy

Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.

Images, text, and generated results are also processed only in your current browser. Your input is not saved automatically. Download any results you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original files.
