About This Tool
Turn your input into a linear barcode, adjust its dimensions, colors, and text, then download an SVG image. Supported characters, lengths, and check digits depend on the format. Choose the format that fits your use before entering the value.
How to Use It
- Choose CODE128, CODE39, or a supported numeric barcode format.
- Enter the value. Numeric formats accept either data without the check digit or a complete value to validate.
- Set bar width, height, margins, text visibility, font size, and colors.
- Click Generate Barcode, review any messages and the preview, then download the scalable SVG image.
Examples
- CODE128: 123456789, ABC123, or Hello-123.
- CODE39: use supported uppercase letters, digits, and symbols. Arbitrary Unicode is not accepted.
- EAN-13: 12 data digits receive a check digit; a 13-digit input must pass check-digit validation.
Supported Formats
Supported formats are CODE128, CODE39, EAN13, EAN8, UPC, and ITF14. EAN-13 accepts 12/13 digits, EAN-8 7/8, UPC-A 11/12, and ITF-14 13/14. Complete inputs have their final digit validated. Bar width is 1–4px, height 20–400px, font size 8–48px, and margin 0–100px. Input is limited to 160 ASCII characters, and image width cannot exceed 8192 pixels. Very small margins, low contrast, or unsuitable print scaling can still affect scanning.
Common Uses
- Create CODE128 barcodes for internal labels.
- Check product-code lengths and check digits.
- Export scalable linear barcode graphics.
Privacy
Values, settings, and images are handled locally. The tool does not call an online barcode service, upload data, or save it automatically.

FAQ
How do barcodes differ from QR codes?
Common barcodes represent information with one-dimensional bars and spaces, while QR codes use two-dimensional modules. Capacity, formats, and reading methods differ.
Does CODE128 support all Unicode text?
This tool accepts the supported printable ASCII range for CODE128. For other scripts or emoji, use the QR code tool.
Why does EAN-13 need a check digit?
The check digit helps detect common entry errors. A complete 13-digit input must match the calculated digit; it cannot be chosen arbitrarily.
Does this tool assign registered product numbers?
No. It encodes and validates values but does not allocate product numbers or establish ownership or registration.
How do I download a barcode?
After generating the barcode, click Download SVG to save the image. SVG scales for labels or printing. Check the content and test scanning before using it.
