Your result will appear after conversion

SVG files and code must use UTF-8 and be no larger than 2 MiB. Exported images are limited to 40 million pixels and 16,384 pixels per side.

About This Tool

Save a vector SVG as a PNG for image editors, documents, or upload forms. Select a file or paste the complete SVG code, then choose the output dimensions you need.

How to Use

  1. Select an SVG file, or expand “Paste SVG Code” and paste its complete contents.
  2. Set the export width and height as needed. The original aspect ratio is locked by default; unchanged dimensions use the original image size.
  3. Leave “Transparent Background” selected, or uncheck it and choose a background color.
  4. Click “Convert to PNG,” check the result, and download it.

Supported Formats

  • Input: a valid UTF-8 SVG file (.svg) or complete SVG code, up to 2 MiB.
  • Output: PNG (.png, image/png), with optional transparency.

Conversion Details

  • The SVG’s width and height are used first, followed by its viewBox dimensions. If neither is available, the default is 512 × 512 pixels. You can change the dimensions and convert again.
  • PNG is a pixel-based image and cannot scale freely like a vector image. Choose dimensions large enough for your intended use.
  • Preview and conversion do not run SVG scripts or load external images or fonts. SVGs that depend on them may look different, so check the result.
  • Common shapes, paths, text, and gradients are supported. Animations, filters, and unsupported content are removed. Complex styles may look different; embedded images are limited to supported PNG and JPEG images.

FAQ

What is the difference between SVG and PNG?

SVG is a vector format that can scale proportionally. PNG has fixed pixel dimensions and may become blurry when enlarged.

Does SVG lose its vector properties when converted to PNG?

Yes. The downloaded PNG is a pixel-based image. Choose dimensions that suit your needs, and keep the original SVG for future adjustments.

How are export dimensions chosen?

The file’s width and height are used first, followed by its viewBox dimensions. If no dimensions are provided, the default is 512 × 512 pixels. You can set them yourself and lock the aspect ratio to avoid stretching.

Will scripts in the SVG run?

No. Scripts and other unsupported interactive content are excluded from preview and conversion.

Will the SVG request external images or fonts?

No external resources are loaded. Parts that depend on external fonts or images may look different from the original.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Selection, preview, conversion, and download all happen in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server.
