About This Tool
The Emoji to Favicon tool turns one emoji into image files in common website icon sizes. Use a simple emoji or a family, flag, or other combined emoji supported by your device, without finding separate artwork.
How to Use
- Enter or choose one emoji, such as 😀, 🔥, 🚀, or ❤️.
- Choose a transparent or solid background and adjust the emoji's scale.
- Generate the icons and check the main preview and actual 16×16 and 32×32 previews.
- Download ICO and PNG files individually, or save the whole set as a ZIP.
Supported Sizes
- The main preview uses a 512×512 canvas. The emoji scale can be adjusted from 50% to 95%.
- favicon.ico contains 16×16, 32×32, and 48×48 images. Three PNGs are also generated at those sizes.
Tips for Creating Icons
- The emoji is centered. Use the scale setting to adjust its size within the square canvas. Changing the background does not change the emoji's own colors.
- Use the main preview to check the overall appearance and the actual-size previews to check readability at 16×16 and 32×32.
- Check the previews after generating, then download the files you want to keep.
How Emoji Appear
- Emoji shapes and colors depend on the emoji fonts available on your device and in your browser. Results may look different on Windows, macOS, Android, and other devices.
- Enter one complete emoji at a time. Family emoji, flags, skin tone variations, and keycaps may contain several characters but still count as one complete emoji.
- If your device does not support an emoji, it may appear as a box or separate symbols. Choose an emoji your device can display. Complex combinations can lose clarity at 16×16, so try a simpler design.
Privacy
Your images, emoji, and generated icons are processed only in your browser and are never uploaded to a server.
Your input and results are not saved automatically. Download any icons you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original artwork.
FAQ
Why do emoji look different across devices?
The tool uses your device's available emoji fonts. Each system has its own designs, so the same emoji may produce a different image.
Can I use an emoji as a favicon?
Yes. The tool turns the emoji into actual ICO and PNG images that you can download and use like other website icons.
Is anything uploaded when I create an emoji favicon?
No. Emoji input, drawing, icon creation, and ZIP packaging all happen in your browser. No remote emoji images are requested.
Why do some complex emoji look unclear when made smaller?
A 16×16 icon has very few pixels, so multiple figures or small details can blend together. Choose a simple silhouette and check the actual-size previews for a clearer result.
Why does a family emoji contain multiple characters?
Combined emoji, such as families, often use several symbols and joining characters that display as one emoji. Paste the entire emoji without adding a second one.
