About this tool
Check the total number of pages before printing, sending an attachment, or selecting pages to process.
How to use it
- Choose a local PDF.
- Check the page count, file name, and file size.
- Use the related tools below to view the document or check individual page sizes.
Features
- Reads the document's page count without generating an image preview for every page.
- File size is the size of the selected file, not its uncompressed size or memory usage.
- Displays information without changing or saving the PDF again.
Pages versus printed sheets
- The result shows the number of pages in the PDF. Double-sided printing and printing multiple pages per sheet change the number of sheets you need.
- Covers, blank pages, and scanned pages all count toward the total.
Limits
- Files over 50 MiB display a memory notice. Each PDF can be up to 200 MiB. Complex content also uses memory, so choose files that suit your device.
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not supported. Use an unencrypted copy you are authorized to access. Damaged or unsupported files may not open.
Privacy
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Images, text, and generated results are also processed only in your current browser. Your input is not saved automatically. Download any results you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original files.
FAQ
How do I check how many pages a PDF has?
Choose a file to see its total page count, file name, and size in the results.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files are read and processed in your current browser, and the results are generated locally.
Can I process encrypted PDFs?
Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not currently supported. Choose an unencrypted copy you are authorized to use.
Why is the page count different from the number of printed sheets?
The count reflects pages in the document. Double-sided printing or multiple pages per sheet uses a different number of sheets.
