About this tool
Read a local PDF right on this page, check your current page and the total page count, and adjust the zoom for your screen. Viewing a file does not change the original PDF.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF from your device.
- Use Previous or Next, or enter a page number to jump to it.
- Zoom in or out, or choose Fit width or Fit page.
- Clear the file when you finish, or choose another PDF.
Features
- Only the page you are reading is displayed. The preview updates when you switch pages.
- Scroll within the reading area after zooming in to see details on phones and high-resolution screens.
- Page numbers must be between 1 and the total page count. Invalid numbers display a message.
- Embedded PDF scripts do not run, and external links and attachments do not open automatically.
Reading and file limits
- Large files and pages with complex images may take longer. Watch for the memory notice when opening files over 50 MiB.
- This tool displays page previews. It does not offer text selection, form filling, attachment extraction, or OCR.
Limits
- Files over 50 MiB display a memory notice. Each PDF can be up to 200 MiB. Complex content also uses memory, so choose files that suit your device.
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not supported. Use an unencrypted copy you are authorized to access. Damaged or unsupported files may not open.
Privacy
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Images, text, and generated results are also processed only in your current browser. Your input is not saved automatically. Download any results you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original files.
FAQ
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files are read and processed in your current browser, and the results are generated locally.
Can I view large PDFs?
You can try files up to 200 MiB. Only the current page is rendered, but reading the file still uses memory. Your device and the complexity of the pages affect performance.
Can I process encrypted PDFs?
Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not currently supported. Choose an unencrypted copy you are authorized to use.
Will JavaScript inside a PDF run?
No. Embedded PDF scripts do not run, and external links and attachments do not open automatically.
