About this tool
PDF Text Watermark writes your text onto selected PDF pages. The watermark is saved in the download, making it useful for labels such as Draft, Confidential, or a usage note.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF and enter your watermark text.
- Set the font size, color, opacity, rotation, and position.
- Choose all pages or enter a page range.
- Generate and download the PDF, then check that the watermark does not cover important content.
Features
- Supports English, Chinese, and Japanese text.
- Place the watermark in the center or any corner, and adjust its rotation.
- Opacity ranges from 0% to 100%: 0% is invisible and 100% is fully opaque.
- The watermark is written into the PDF pages, not just overlaid on the webpage preview.
Page range format
- Pages start at 1. Enter 1, 1,3,5, 1-5, or 1-3,7,10-12. Use all for every page, odd for odd-numbered pages, and even for even-numbered pages.
- Zero, out-of-bounds pages, reversed ranges such as 5-2, letters, and empty entries such as 1,,3 are invalid. Both endpoints of a range are included.
- Extracting, deleting, and rotating ignore duplicate page numbers. Duplicating keeps repeated page numbers and builds the copied block in the order entered.
Watermark text and fonts
- The site's font loads when text is added, and the required glyphs are saved in the result. Some emoji or uncommon characters may not be supported.
- A watermark is a visible label. It does not prevent copying or replace redaction or sensitive-information removal.
Limits
- Files over 50 MiB display a memory notice. Each PDF can be up to 200 MiB. Complex content also uses memory, so choose files that suit your device.
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not supported. Use an unencrypted copy you are authorized to access. Damaged or unsupported files may not open.
- Editing a digitally signed PDF may invalidate its signature. Keep the original file.
- Bookmarks, interactive forms, annotations, and other complex features may not be fully preserved. Open the download and check its pages and important content.
Privacy
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Images, text, and generated results are also processed only in your current browser. Your input is not saved automatically. Download any results you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original files.
FAQ
Is the watermark saved in the final PDF?
Yes. The downloaded file contains the watermark, which remains visible when you open it again.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. For example, entering 1-3,5 processes only those pages.
Are Chinese watermarks supported?
Common Chinese and Japanese characters are supported. Special characters and emoji depend on the font, so read any notices and check the download.
Will adding a watermark affect digital signatures?
It changes the file and may invalidate existing digital signatures. Keep the original signed document.
