About this tool

How to use it
- Choose a PDF and check its file name, page count, and size.
- Start removing metadata.
- Review the original properties, removed fields, processing notes, and output size.
- Download the new file and use the metadata viewer to check it again if needed.
Features
- Clears title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, creation date, and modification date.
- Removes document-level XMP and avoids adding common producer or date fields again when saving.
- Shows original information and the processing results without uploading your file.
What is removed
- Clears common document properties and document-level XMP. It does not guarantee removal of information from every location or all custom hidden data.
- Does not automatically remove page text, annotations, attachments, hidden layers, form data, embedded files, JavaScript, or OCR text.
- This is not a forensic privacy-cleanup tool. Before sharing, review page content and other locations that may contain personal information.
Limits
- Files over 50 MiB display a memory notice. Each PDF can be up to 200 MiB. Complex content also uses memory, so choose files that suit your device.
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are not supported. Use an unencrypted copy you are authorized to access. Damaged or unsupported files may not open.
- Editing a digitally signed PDF may invalidate its signature. Keep the original file.
- Bookmarks, interactive forms, annotations, and other complex features may not be fully preserved. Open the download and check its pages and important content.
Privacy
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Images, text, and generated results are also processed only in your current browser. Your input is not saved automatically. Download any results you want to keep before clearing or leaving the page, and keep your original files.
